Canada has just proposed new federal legislation Bill C-34, the Safe Social Media Act,1 that would introduce age verification requirements, platform accountability measures, and other rules aimed at protecting young people online.2 As Canada considers new digital safety laws, we want to understand what Canadians think about Canada’s approach.
