It’s Time to Get Canada Connected!
Millions of people across the country lack reliable high-speed Internet access – especially in rural, remote, Indigenous, and low income communities. The Internet is a basic service, not a luxury, but too many are being left behind.
Even before the social distancing policies that have come into force to fight COVID-19, people have become increasingly reliant on the Internet to access work, education, training, government services and more. Bridging this digital divide and ensuring all communities have adequate access will be a key part of Canada’s post-pandemic economic recovery.
The Get Canada Connected coalition is made up of organizations, businesses and experts concerned by the depth of Canada’s digital divide who are calling for change today via our coalition declaration:
